Land-use advocates such as the Bureau of Land Management, Tread Lightly! and the Blue Ribbon Coalition will be joining the efforts through this program to help participants develop responsible and respectful OHV land-use habits. Sand Hollow State Park and Hunt 4 Prizes is proud to incorporate Tread Lightly!’s principals which support all of our efforts in Utah, specifically Sand Hollow, and this initiative to provide OHV education through our treasure hunting activities.
Sand Hollow State Park, Bureau of Land Management, TreadLightly!, and local off-roading events and businesses support this off-roading educational program that is slated to reach over 1,000,000 visitors at the state park. The more the public is educated about how to be a responsible off-roader the more our lands are protected, respected, and remain open for OHV use.

The Utah Division of State Parks will be hosting a community cleanup event at Sand Hollow State Park on Saturday. While the event will be attended by multiple off-highway vehicle clubs, all members of the community are invited to attend. Those attending the event are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at the OHV parking lot which accesses the nearby Sand Mountain Recreation Area from within Sand Hollow State Park. It’s a bring your own off-highway vehicle, as OHVs will not be provided. The event is expected to last all day. Park rangers will also be placed throughout the riding area to answer any questions about safety requirements and will also be handing out whip flags to those who need them. The Utah Division of State Parks encourages riders to wear protective equipment, including helmets, at all times. Helmets are mandatory on all public land for riders under the age of 18. A full list of Utah’s OHV laws and rules can be found online at ohv.utah.gov.
